Dr. Duxbury completed her behavior residency and became board certified with the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists (ACVB) in 2005. She served as an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine where she ran a successful behavior practice that was recognized as one of the ‘Best Places to Fix’ by Minneapolis /St. Paul Magazine. She left the University in 2015 in order to focus exclusively on helping clients and their pets.
In addition to being a Board Certified Diplomate of the ACVB, Dr. Duxbury has twice served on its Board of Regents. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), and the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB). Her research has been published in national, peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Genome Biology. She is a frequent speaker at regional and national veterinary conferences.
Dr. Deborah Bryant
Dr. Deborah Bryant is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), and the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB). Dr. Bryant has recently passed the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists
certifying examination, and is now a board-certified Veterinary Behaviorist!
You may know her through Greater Minnesota Veterinary Behavior Services, her previous practice, from 2009-2015. She served as a clinician in the Behavior Service at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center in 2012.
She continues to see patients in their homes in the St. Cloud area and certain greater Minnesota locations. Dr. Bryant is passionate about caring for animal patients, and assisting their humans, through Veterinary Behavior Specialties of Minnesota!
Dr. Helen A. Jurchisin
Dr. Jurchisin is a graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, where she began focusing on becoming a veterinary behaviorist her first year in veterinary school. She practiced at Silver Lake Animal Hospital before starting her clinical residency training at Veterinary Behavior Specialties of Minnesota. Dr. Jurchisin credits her dog Stella, who has numerous behavioral challenges, for teaching her about behavior, patience, and trust. She is also a Fear Free Certified Professional and Low Stress Handling Silver Certified. When she's not working, Dr. Jurchisin enjoys cabin life and social dancing.
